CTHF member registration for Halton County Radial Railway charter on June 2, 2018.
“Pride and passion in Canada’s transit heritage”
To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the arrival of the PCC streetcar in Toronto, the CTHF is planning a visit to the Halton County Radial Railway. PCC #4000 was first displayed to the public at the Canadian National Exhibition in August 1938. This car still exists at HCRR, along with a number of 4600 series TTC PCC cars. The CTHF will be chartering a NovaBus LFS Articulated bus from MiWay (Mississauga Transit) and travelling to HCRR. The visit to HCRR will be at least three hours which should allow plenty of time to ride historic streetcars. The trip will depart opposite the Islington Subway Station (Aberfoyle Crescent, east of Islington) at 10:00AM, returning at 4:00PM. On the way to HCRR, we will travel via the Mississauga Transitway. Admission to HCRR is included in the ticket price.
