No less than six of Toronto’s well maintained Peter Witt car fleet (2768, 2830, 2482, 2506, 2932 and 2462) await their next runs at St. Clair Division (Wychwood) carhouse on September 6, 1953.  Purchases of second-hand PCC cars and the opening of the YONGE and UNIVERSITY subways will see these cars retired.
