The CTHF is sponsoring a trip for transit historians aboard Stratford Transit # 9764 (a 1997 NovaBus LFS, ex-Hamilton Street Railway # 9703) on Saturday October 29th. This is the oldest transit bus operating in revenue service in Ontario.
The trip will start at the Stratford Transit Terminal (Downie Street at Shakespeare Street) at 11:00 AM, returning by 4:30 PM. There is parking available at this location. Numerous photo stops are planned and a lunch stop will be included. A tour of the transit garage tour may be part of the itinerary. Please note that due to the age of the bus it may not be available for the whole charter. Bus 0576 (ex-Transport of Rockland) may be substituted if needed.
Join us for a 5 ½ hour charter aboard this rare transit vehicle. Cost is $30.00 for CTHF members and $40.00 for non-members.
